What is TEXA?

Trade Expo Africa (TEXA) is a Houston based company with a focus on promoting Made in African products within African countries and the United States. Since 2018, we have organized exhibitions, tradeshows and conferences in Houston availing business owners from different parts of Africa the opportunity to showcase their export ready products to potential partners in the US.

In June 2022, we launched the first ever eCommerce and warehousing platform in Houston, Texas. This platform was created for African business owners with export ready products in need of access to the US market. This multi vendor eCommerce site (www.tradeexpoafrica.com) enables vendors to set up their storefronts while warehousing their products with us in Houston for easier distribution to their consumers. Our product categories are Food & Beverages, Beauty & Personal Care, Fashion, Health & Household.

On the 28th & 29th of September 2023, we will be launching the maiden edition of TEXA live in Lagos, Nigeria. This expo aims to promote Intra-African collaborations, educate the public on export processes, and promote interactive sessions with key stakeholders. Participating SMEs may be based in their home countries in Africa or anywhere around the world.

Furthermore, TEXA aims to boost export opportunities in Africa by leveraging The African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA), which is a United States Trade Act, enacted 18th of May 2000 as Public Law 106 of the 200th Congress. The purpose of this legislation is to assist the economies of sub-Saharan Africa and to improve economic relations between the United States and these regions with the possibility of exporting qualifying products into the U.S. duty free.
